The Story of Todo Con Amor
In the late 1990s, a young surfer from Jacksonville, Florida, named JJ left home at 18 and drove to Nicaragua with friends in search of waves, adventure, and the undiscovered corners of the coast.
What started as a surf trip became something much bigger.
After falling in love with Nicaragua, JJ devoted his life to Jesus in 2002 and began serving through ministry and community work. Over the years, he became deeply connected to the Popoyo area, leading surf tours through some of the region’s best breaks and eventually starting the first surf hotel in the area, Popoyo Surf House.
Years later, a trip to Nicaragua brought Eileen from Germany to the same coastline. The two met on the beach in Popoyo — JJ was driving workers along the shore on his Jet Ski — and the rest became history.
Today, after 10 years of marriage, their love for each other and their love for serving others continues to grow.
How Todo Con Amor Began
Todo Con Amor was created from a simple idea found in 1 Corinthians 16:14:
“Let all that you do be done in love.”
The vision was to create a place where every person who arrives feels welcomed — whether they come chasing waves, seeking adventure, traveling with family, or looking for a deeper purpose.
What began as a piece of land has become a 7-acre farm, café, surf stay, and community gathering place where hospitality and ministry come together.
More Than a Surf Stay
Todo Con Amor is different because your trip can become more than just a vacation.
Guests can explore Nicaragua’s incredible beaches, surf Popoyo’s famous waves, enjoy fresh food from our farm café, and slow down in a place built around relationships and community.
We also host mission and discipleship trips for groups who want to serve, grow, and experience Nicaragua in a meaningful way. Through local partnerships and community projects, guests have opportunities to use their gifts, build connections, and make a positive impact.
Over the years, Todo Con Amor has been involved in building homes, rebuilding roofs, painting projects, sustainability efforts, and many other service opportunities alongside local families.
Every visit has the chance to become a story of adventure, connection, and purpose.
Surf Trips
A surf trip at Todo Con Amor is a guided adventure along Nicaragua’s coast. Guests can join surf charters & boat days to explore nearby breaks around Popoyo and hidden waves along the coastline. Between sessions, relax at the farm café, pool, and property with the community.
Family Stays
Our farm stay is a quiet 7-acre escape near the coast where guests can slow down, enjoy nature, and experience simple living. Relax by the pool, explore the farm, and stay close to beaches and local adventure.
Mission Trips
A mission trip at Todo Con Amor combines service, community, and connection in Nicaragua. Groups can take part in local projects while also sharing meals, surf, and meaningful time together on the farm.
